Today’s post is dedicated to the “Americas Best Value Inn” Las Cruces, New Mexico.

This is the place we have spent the last few days and feel welcomed and comfortable.

The owners are Elina and David. Elina is originally from Indonesia and has lived in the US and Europe for the last 35 years. She is also a freelance journalist and knows a lot about desert plants and chilies. David used to work as Software Engineer for IBM for years before he ended up with Elina in Las Cruces with this motel.

They do a very good job with the motel, they are here when you need them and they remember your special wishes and preferences. They make their guest feel welcome. This is certainly not just another average American motel as we have seen so many before on our trips. The Americas Best Value Inn in Las Cruces is a one-of-a-kind experience!

The motel offers everything you would expect from Americas Best Value Inn: it has a pool, a fitness room, they offer breakfast, each room has a refrigerator, Cable TV with HBO & ESPN, guest laundry and Microwave and their wireless internet works pretty well.

This motel can be your place while exploring the area. Attractions that can be reached for a day trip are: Elephant Butte Reservoir State Park and the White Sand Dunes National Monument. Locally here in Las Cruces you can visit the Farmers & Crafts Market, Historic Old Mesilla Plaza and some local museums. If it’s not too hot you can also go for a walk along the Rio Grande.

Las Cruces also offers a variety of good restaurants: two of them, definitely worth trying are: Le Rendez-vous Cafe & French Pastry, which offers real french pastry, and Zeffiro Pizzeria Napolitano.
