To look at things is very different from seeing it – Oscar Wilde

Horseshoe Dam

SONY ILCE-7RM3, f/14, 1/400 sec, ISO 640

Exactly to the day one year ago we came here with my mom. It was a cloudy rather trist day and we didn’t see a single flower and only a few puddles of water. Today it looked quite a bit different – it’s a beautiful sunny day, the mountain slopes are green with big patches of California poppies and Lupines – a simply georgeous scenery. The Horseshoe Lake is full and SRP (Salt River Project  – the local water management company) is releasing a lot of water, so we got a chance to walk underneath the waterfall, only getting moderately wet.
