To look at things is very different from seeing it – Oscar Wilde

Wild Animal Park

To escape the ever present “June Gloom” we are packing our camera equipment and backpack and head north and inland to the Wild Animal Park.
Not surprising, we are not the only ones who had this idea, at 10:00am the parking lot is already pretty full.
We try to by-pass the big scheduled events and escape the crowd a bit. We do a lot of walking, take a ride with the Wgasa Bush Line Railway and see a lot of animals and blooming plants.
The Wild Animal Park is a 2,100 acre preserve, where animals wander freely in surroundings much like their native homelands. The park hosts lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and hundreds of other animals freely roaming in herds over large areas of scenic natural habitat. Trees and botanical gardens add to the beauty of the experience.
Later afternoon we are returning home happy but exhausted.
