Blooming Desert – Lost Dog Wash Trail

SONY ILCE-7RM2, f/11, 1/125 sec, ISO 125

This morning, while the temperature is still in the low 70s (20 degree celsius) we head north again towards the McDowell Mountain, park the car at the Lost Dog Wash Trail Head (and believe me, we are not the only ones going for a hike today). As per the description the Lost Dog Wash Trail is a 4.5 mile loop trail located near Scottsdale that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. We start off not knowing how far we will go and end up doing the whole loop. We see again lots of blooming flowers as well as the first blooming cacti and last but not least see some lizards and hear a rattle snake. The temperature is ok even though by the time we get back to the car it has reached 90 degrees (30 celsius), however the sun is already very powerful and we haven’t been hiking for quite some time, so we are glad to see our car again after more than 2 hours.
