As we approach the holiday season, a mix of emotions envelops this time of celebration. This Christmas holds a special significance – it’s the first without my beloved mom, who sadly left us in June, and a close friend, who passed in September. Their absence is deeply felt, adding a touch of melancholy to the festive cheer.
In these moments of reflection, I find solace in the shared journey we’ve embarked on through the lens of our blog. While the digital space may not replicate the physical presence of a community, the silent exchange of images and words creates a unique connection.
During these difficult times of loss, I’ve been profoundly grateful for the unwavering support of my wife Jackie. Her strength and love have been a guiding light, providing comfort and understanding in the face of heartache.
May this Christmas serve as a poignant reminder of the transient nature of life and the enduring beauty found in both the wild and the cherished memories we hold close.
Wishing you all a Christmas filled with contemplation, gratitude, and moments of quiet beauty.
With sincere regards,
Marco and Jackie
