Otay Mountain Truck Road

SONY DSLR-A900, f/9, 1/800 sec, ISO 200

For San Diego we have had some quite severe rain storms yesterday, even including some thunder! But, after the rain the sun shines again, the air is very clear and the visibility incredible.
We head south to the Otay Lake and from there drive up the mountains. The trail (road) is very washed out and small creeks are still flowing along and across, there is water everywhere.
The view from up there is incredible – we can see all the way to San Diego down town, Coronado, Point Loma and even the Mormon Temple here in UTC is visible today! To the south west we have the clearest view of Tijuana and the mountains to the east. The clouds are still present and are hanging very low in places.
The gorgeous view is well worth coming home with the dirty car!
