South Park is a neighborhood of San Diego, California, East of Balboa Park, North of Golden Hill and Grant Hill and South of North Park, the boundary being Juniper Street. The area is part of Greater Golden Hill for San Diego city planning purposes. While some believe that it is part of Golden Hill, the South Park name dates back to the original South Park Addition designation registered on May 17, 1870. Serious development in the neighborhood started around 1905-06.
South Park is noteworthy for its fine and varied collection of Craftsman and Spanish Colonial style homes built in the 1905-1930 period. Here some examples:
