To look at things is very different from seeing it – Oscar Wilde

Nothing to complain about

While Europe is facing terribly cold weather at the moment with record lows, the weather here is just gorgeous.

Therefore, we decide to go for a longer walk around Torrey Pines today. We park the car at the Torrey Pines Gliderport and follow the stairs down to the beach. While looking out for Dolphins we pass Black’s Beach which is a secluded section of beach beneath the bluffs of Torrey Pines – Black’s Beach is also know as “San Diego’s Nude Beach”. At “Flat Rock” we watch a Seagull going after people’s belongings before taking the stairs up into the State Park. We follow the trail up to Torrey Pines Park Rd and pass the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course on the right – last weekend there was the famous “Farmers Insurance Open” formerly “Buick Invitational”. The event typically featured the season debut of Tiger Woods – however, this year he has not been playing.

After a 2.5 hrs walk we are finally back at our car.
