We run away from the clouded sky in San Diego and look forward to some sunny days/weeks in Las Cruces at our friends hotel.

When we arrive here we soon meet Danny and Linda. Brother an sister who have been here to get Danny to a special doctor for medical treatment. We have dinner all together with Elina and David and get to know each other better. We keep chatting into the evenings and nights and get very little sleep this first week. Danny is improving fast and is even able to take a trip with us and the kids to White Sands. He and Linda enjoy it and we are all laughing a lot while walking through the white dunes and watching the kids sledding down – Danny even gives it a try too!

Unfortunately, their two weeks are over soon and we have to say our good byes, but we agree to keep in touch and meet in California when opportunity presents itself, which hopefully will not be too difficult as they live up in Los Angeles.
