07:00: after heavy thunderstorms all over Arizona it is a bit cooler today and we continue our way to Flagstaff on historic route 66. The morning sun is tinting the mountains as well as the desert in a very special light. The landscape is changing rapidly and its getting greener the closer we get to the Grand Canyon. The road is leading straight ahead and nothing is indicating the great Grand Canyon. On the Canyon itself we find ourselves pasquinaded by the beauty of what nature has created over time and turned off by the many people. Since the Hotels and Lodges here are all very expensive we head back to Flagstaff where we stay at the Quality Inn. It’s raining, so we take the car to Sizzler’s across the street to have dinner.
