7:45 we must have been very tired once again. Since we only want to go to Santa Fe today we take it easy. Marco is checking on our stocks and I use the time for a decent workout. We leave the hotel shortly after 10:00 on Hwy 64 to Bloomfield there we turn on Hwyn550/44 to Cuba. At the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation we turn into a gravel road, hoping to see some wild horses. Horses we don’t see but some picturesque mountains. We take SR126 (on the map it’s marked as a local Hwy – in reality it is at its best a gravel road) and 4 to Santa Fe. On SR 4 we pass the Bandelier National Monument – more ruins of cliff and cave dwellings. We stop and take a half hour walk through the place. In Santa Fe it’s rainy and windy and we are tired. We find a room at the Red Roof Inn and have a quick dinner at the Mexican place one block away.
