We had not been “home” in two years and therefore decided to spend Christmas with our families in Switzerland.
We left on December 20 with a flight through Atlanta (to escape any problems with bad weather in the north) and landed safely and without any problems in Zurich.
On the 24th it started snowing and so we had a white Christmas with all our loved ones! We were spoiled by everyone with excellent meals and a vast variety of homemade cookies – we had a great time – thank you all very much for all you have given us and done for us, we love you!
On January 10 we sadly said goodbye and hopped on our flight back to San Diego.
We definitely have to visit our families more often, that’s for sure! Our visit showed us how much we miss them while living in the U.S.
