08:00: after a good nights sleep we are ready to continue our trip so we take road to Sequoia National Forrest via Isabella Lake. Before we start Marco is once again looking after the wellbeing of our car by checking the air in the tires and giving it a short wash.

Lake Isabelle seems to be a popular weekend get-away for people from Los Angeles. Each access to the lake is full of cars with trailers loaded with jet-skies or boats. It’s like in a public pool in summer in Switzerland. We just pass as fast as possible and hope to find some less populated areas. The road is leading higher and higher up in the mountains where some really big Sequoia trees grow. Some of them are up to 2000 years old and up to 300 feet high – very impressive.

We are looking forward to seeing more of these trees in Sequoia National Park tomorrow.
For today we head to Tulare, where we have the oil on our car changed before we look for a hotel to spend the night. For dinner we feel like having Italian food and cruise around town to find a Restaurant. Finally we end up at Rosa’s Italian Restaurant – a rather disappointing experience.
